San Diego Coastkeeper periodically seeks to add talented individuals to our passionate team of educators, advocates, scientists, outreach specialists, and non-profit professionals.

We train community volunteers to conduct monthly water quality sampling which provides vital data to understand water quality issues and inform decision makers.
Join us at the San Diego River Mouth on Friday, December 13th from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM for a King Tide Event to document high tide levels as part of the California King Tides Project. Take part in a guided bird walk from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM, and help gather important data by photographing the tide’s reach. Your photos will contribute to vital research on sea-level rise and coastal resilience. This free, family-friendly event is open to all ages—come explore, learn, and make a difference!

7:00am-9:00am- Meet at greet with San Diego River Mouth docents, San Diego Bird Alliance and San Diego Coastkeeper. Learn about the King Tide and California King Tides Project
7:30am-8:30am- Bird Walk- grab your smart phone and a pair of binoculars for a guided bird walk into the San Diego River Mouth trails
Throughout the event:
Take pictures of the high tide as you go on your own morning stroll, walking your dog, or watch for birds! Share your photos with the Califonia King Tides Project to help monitor sea level rise!

Connect with Natue- Discover the incredible bird and wildlife at one of San Diego’s Birding hotspots!
