Riverbed Cleanup and Restoration Event at Otay Valley Regional Park
March 11, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
This will be our second of four cleanup events throughout the year, in partnership with Otay Valley Regional Park. For these cleanups we will not only be ridding the area of debris before they have the opportunity to make it out the ocean, but we will also be doing some restoration work, removing invasive species from the riverbed and surrounding trails. Registration is required.
Meeting Location
Meet at the 300 Hollister Street river crossing. Look for the blue San Diego Coastkeeper canopy.
Cleanup Information
Meet at the dirt lot, and look for the blue Coastkeeper canopy. We will walk you through some safety information and make sure you are properly equipped to help.
Please wear comfortable clothes, closed-toed shoes and sunscreen.
All volunteers (individuals as well as groups) are welcome to participate. All minors will require a parent or guardian to be present. Please make sure you register online, in advance.
Weather Cancellation Policy
If it is lightly raining, we will hold the cleanup. If there are heavy rains, we will cancel the cleanup. To check the status of a cleanup, please see the San Diego Coastkeeper events calendar or visit us on social media.
