Help plant native plants as we celebrate Otay Mesa-Nestor Public Library’s 50th anniversary! ¡Ayuda a plantar plantas nativas mientras celebramos el 50. ¡Aniversario de la Biblioteca Pública de Otay Mesa-Nestor!

Otay Mesa-Nestor Public Library is turning 50! Join us in the celebration for this Native Plant Invasion collaboration event, where you will help restore important native habitat at a local library. This event will include an SDBA booth from 12- 4 p.m., as well as other community organizations, including San Diego Coastkeeper!

Native Plant Invasion (NPI) is on a mission to restore non-native areas to their natural, native state. Our efforts focus on schools and underserved communities, promoting sustainable urban greening and fostering local ecosystems. Through these gardens, we aim to inspire education and engagement around the importance of native planting, encouraging broader community involvement in ecological restoration. San Diego Bird Alliance will be leading a planting at 2 pm that will add a native habitat to the library courtyard.
