Join us for a FREE family day of ocean exploration and discovery as we celebrate the legacy of Walter Munk – the visionary oceanographer dubbled “Einstein of the Oceans” by the New York Times.
Hosted by the Walter Munk Foundation for the Oceans, this annual community event brings together scientists, educators, students, innovators, artists, and ocean enthusiasts to inspire the next generation of ocean stewards.
This year’s celebration will feature the fascinating history of scuba diving and marine archaeology, highlighting humanity’s connection to the sea through exploration, technology, and discovery.

FREE, Open to the Public, & Lots of Fun for Everyone!
Parking
- La Jolla Shores parking lot
- Street parking
- Special Event parking at 2223 Avenida De La Playa; Parking here is free with validation. For parking validation, get stickers from 10 Exhibitor Booths while you’re at the event. Show your passport (with at least 10 exhibitor stickers) at the South Registration Booth to recieve validation. Without validation there’s a parking fee of $40.
