World Wildlife Day Milkweed Planting and Cleanup – Otay Valley Regional Park

Come celebrate World Wildlife Day with San Diego Coastkeeper and the Caltrans Stormwater Program at Otay Valley Regional Park from 9-11 am on Saturday, March 9th! This year, San Diego Coastkeeper will be planting native milkweed in Otay Valley Regional Park in celebration of World Wetlands Day. In addition to planting, we will be conducting a walking cleanup through the park. This event is open to people of all ages, and park rangers will be on-site to educate and lead volunteers through activities.

Meet at the 231 Beyer Way staging area: 32.592107, -117.062685. Look for the blue San Diego Coastkeeper canopy.
Cleanup Information
Meet at the dirt lot, and look for the blue Coastkeeper canopy. We will walk you through some safety information and make sure you are properly equipped to help.
Please wear comfortable clothes, closed-toed shoes, and sunscreen.
All volunteers (individuals as well as groups) are welcome to participate. All minors will require a parent or guardian to be present.

Weather Cancellation Policy
If it is lightly raining, we will hold the cleanup. If there is heavy rain, we will cancel the cleanup. To check the cleanup status, please see the San Diego Coastkeeper events calendar or visit us on social media.
