The International Plastic Pellet Count at Carlsbad’s Rotary Park
May 2 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join us along with CALPIRG Education Fund, Surfrider San Diego, and Oceana at Rotary Park in Carlsbad for the second annual International Plastic Pellet Count.
Plastic pellets are the building blocks of the plastic supply chain, making so many of the products we use in our daily lives — everything from milk jugs to plastic bags. Unfortunately, they are also entering our environment at staggering rates, with more than 10 trillion plastic pellets entering our oceans annually.
The International Plastic Pellet Count is a global day of action to address and quantify plastic pellet pollution in our communities and treasured waterways. The California coast has seen plastic pellet pollution in recent years, and the data collected through pellet counts paves the way for lasting change.
All necessary materials will be provided, so you only have to bring yourself!
