“Morning After Mess” Cleanup – Mission Beach, Belmont Park
July 5, 2025 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am


Join us for Surfrider Foundation’s annual county-wide “Morning After Mess” Cleanup Event! Help clean up your local beaches, parks, and waterways the morning after the Independence Day holiday.
San Diego Coastkeeper will have supplies available at Mission Beach – Belmont Park. Meet on the grass next to the main restrooms and Mission Beach parking lot.
Driving Directions
From I-5 North or South: Take I- 8 West or Sea World Drive. Follow the signs to West Mission Bay Drive. Make a left on Mission Blvd (you will see the Big Dipper Roller Coaster, Belmont Park on the far left). Follow Mission Blvd. south until you get to the parking lot on the left, adjacent to Belmont Park.
Weather Cancellation Policy
If it is lightly raining, we will hold the cleanup. If there is heavy rain, we will cancel the cleanup. To check the status of a cleanup, please see the San Diego Coastkeeper events calendar or visit us on social media.
