Our special guest speaker, mayor of Imperial Beach, Paloma Aguirre, gave an insightful and moving speech detailing the unacceptable air and water pollution impacting daily life for the county’s southern communities, and the important steps needed to resolve the issue swiftly and permanently.

Margarita Diaz, Tijuana Waterkeeper and Director of Proyecto Fronterizo de Educación Ambiental (PFEA), expressed the importance of cross-border collaboration, and highlighted the important work she hand her team have done to address the sewage issue in Tijuana, where pollution also impacts communities and local habitats.

Local musicians, the B-Side Players took the stage at 6:00 PM and performed and outstanding, groove-fueled set at the Birch Aquarium tide pools overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Say thanks to these local musicians by following their music and tour.
And a Thank you to our 2024 event sponsors!
