Region Beach Reason
San Diego County From San Onofre State Beach south to Border Field, including Mission Bay and San Diego Bay GENERAL RAIN ADVISORY IN EFFECT. The Department of Environmental Health and Quality has issued a General Rain Advisory for San Diego County's coastal waters due to urban runoff contamination following rain. Swimmers, surfers, and other ocean users are advised to avoid activities for 72 hours after rain, especially near storm drains, creeks, rivers, and lagoon outlets due to high bacteria levels. The advisory's lift date is estimated for January 15, 2025, but this may change.
Point Loma Lawrence Street - 100' (EH-211) CLOSURE: Due to recent aviation incident, chemical odors are being observed in the area. Avoid water contact in the closure area.
Coronado Shoreline The ocean shoreline from Avenida Lunar to North Beach CLOSURE: Bacteria levels exceed health standards. Avoid water contact in the advisory area.
Silver Strand, Coronado The ocean shoreline from north of Carnation Ave to south of Avenida Lunar CLOSURE: Bacteria levels exceed health standards. Avoid water contact in the advisory area.
Imperial Beach The ocean shoreline from the south end of Seacoast Drive through Imperial Beach Pier CLOSURE: Bacteria levels exceed health standards. Avoid water contact in the advisory area.
Tijuana Slough The ocean shoreline from the U.S. / Mexico border through Border Field State Park and the Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge due to cross boundary flows CLOSURE: Bacteria levels exceed health standards. Avoid water contact in the advisory area.
