Surfrider hosts this beach cleanup at Torrey Pines State Beach. Meet at the lifeguard tower by the entrance to the south parking lot. Please check the Surfrider and San Diego Coastkeeper websites for parking passes.

Driving Directions

From I-5: Take Carmel Valley Rd. west for 1.5 miles until you reach Coast Highway 101 and turn left.  The Torrey Pines State Beach entrance will be on your right. Park in the lot or on street. Meet up near the lifeguard tower across from the restrooms.

BYOB--Bring Your Own Reusable Bag, Bucket, Bottle and Gloves

We will have supplies on hand, but volunteers should bring their own work gloves, reusable bag/bucket and/or reusable water bottle.

Beach Cleanup Information

Please wear comfortable clothes, closed toed shoes and sunscreen. All volunteers are welcome to participate and must sign a liability waiver, but volunteers under 18 must have a parent or guardian present at the beginning of the cleanup to sign a liability waiver before the minor can participate. Please be prepared to fill out a data card of all the trash you pick up—we need this information to help find the sources of trash on our beaches.
