Every year we publish a calendar year of twice-a-month beach cleanups that reach from the county\'s south end to the north.

Surfrider hosts this beach and street cleanup at the Imperial Beach Pier. Meet by the north side of the pier at the end of Elm St.

Driving Directions

From I-5 South: Exit Palm Avenue. Turn right off the exit onto Palm Avenue. Follow Palm Ave. all the way to the end (you have to veer left at a light right next to the Goodwill; if you veer right you will head to Coronado). You’ll come to a stop sign when you get to the end of Palm (at the water) turn left onto Seacoast Drive. Take Seacoast Drive for about four blocks, turn left on Elm Street.

BYOB--Bring Your Own Reusable Bag, Bucket, Bottle and Gloves

We will have supplies on hand, but volunteers should bring their own work gloves, reusable bag/bucket and/or reusable water bottle.

Beach Cleanup Information

Please wear comfortable clothes, closed toed shoes and sunscreen. All volunteers are welcome to participate and must sign a liability waiver, but volunteers under 18 must have a parent or guardian present at the beginning of the cleanup to sign a liability waiver before the minor can participate. Please be prepared to fill out a data card of all the trash you pick up—we need this information to help find the sources of trash on our beaches.
