“As sustainability becomes more top of mind with governments and consumers, companies that take an active role in environmental issues will have a competitive advantage over companies that don't.” Todd Brady, Corporate Environmental Manager, Intel Corporation (IndustryWeek, 2008)

Why Support Coastal Conservation in San Diego?

The San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau estimates that tourism draws $7 billion in revenue into the region annually. An environmentally vibrant San Diego is good for the economy, as well as for the health and well being of our residents. Tourism and outdoor recreation depends on keeping our waters clean and healthy. By partnering with San Diego Coastkeeper, your company aligns itself with the largest nonprofit environmental organization in our region that is working to preserve the iconic beaches and coastal and inland waters where our residents and visitors work, live and play.

They Said It

“Not only is it our mission to do our part as a company to protect the environment, but a lot of our staff enjoy spending time at the beach; so contributing to a program that aims to improve our local waters was important to us,” said Jeff Goldberg, CEO of Cali Bamboo. “As we continue to provide products made from renewable resources, we applaud organizations like San Diego Coastkeeper that are helping to create a healthier planet as well.”

"Through Operation Goodwill, Ford Motor Company Fund has been partnering with its San Diego County Ford Dealers since 2008 in providing funding to support a combination of grants, safety, educational and environmental programs and volunteer activities that enhance the quality of life throughout the county," said Jim Vella, president, Ford Motor Company Fund and Community Services. "Operation Goodwill gives us the opportunity to better target our philanthropy and community outreach activities, and to solidly demonstrate that Ford has been, and will continue to be, a supportive corporate citizen in the community. We have a long and rich history of partnering with cities such as San Diego, and through Operation Goodwill San Diego, we plan to continue to invest significant resources to take our support of the community to a new level."
