“As sustainability becomes more top of mind with governments and consumers, companies that take an active role in environmental issues will have a competitive advantage over companies that don’t.” Todd Brady, Corporate Environmental Manager, Intel Corporation (IndustryWeek, 2008)

Why Support Coastal Conservation in San Diego?

An environmentally vibrant San Diego is good for the economy, as well as for the health and well-being of our residents. San Diego draws employees and employers to a community where the innovation economy thrives. Our universities and think-tanks bubble with possibility. And the Convention & Visitors Bureau estimates that tourism draws $16 billion in revenue into the region annually. By partnering with San Diego Coastkeeper, your company aligns itself with the most effective environmental nonprofit organization in our region working to ensure sustainable development means collaboration, cooperation and stalwart protection of our iconic beaches and coastal and inland waters.

Partnering with San Diego Coastkeeper

San Diego Coastkeeper partners with companies that incorporate sustainable business practices in their company and wish to support our mission to protect and restore fishable, swimmable, drinkable water in San Diego County.

We seek active collaboration with sponsors and hope that you will meet with our staff or board to discuss your goals for a corporate membership and personal interest in clean water issues. We will work with you to engage and inform your employees and clients of educational and volunteer opportunities.

San Diego Coastkeeper is the region’s most effective environmental nonprofit in the region promoting healthy inland and coastal waters. Each year, we reach more than 10,000 volunteers, 6,500 email subscribers and thousands more through social media and press coverage.

We will tailor a partnership to meet your particular goals, which might include:

  • Co-branding opportunities at outreach events in the community
  • A feature story in email alerts that reach more than 6,500 members
  • Social media promotion of an event, contest, or initiative
  • Event sponsorships that demonstrate your dedication to a clean water future to high-level donors and a broad membership base
  • Product placement during featured environmental and membership events and online drives
  • Employee engagement activities like a sponsored cleanup or educational forum
