The 2008 Ocean Gala benefit will feature a Silent Auction that will be open from 6:30pm until 7:45 pm (closing immediately before the start of the Program); the Ocean Gallery featuring artwork celebrating our coastal environment from local artists (open from 6:30pm until 9:45 pm); and the Going Green Live Auction that will take place at 8:00 pm. Please peruse the live and silent auction items listed below to better prepare you for the evening – and make sure to review the silent auction package descriptions and listen to the descriptions of live items at the Gala as changes may occur up until the event. Ocean Gallery Silent Auction
New to this year’s Gala is the Ocean Gallery Silent Auction, featuring an excellent variety of artwork from local artists celebrating our beautiful coastal environment. The Gallery, which will be open from 6:30 pm until 9:45 pm, will feature music by Joel P West, wine tasting by Quivira Vineyards, live art by Wade Koniakowsky and an amazing opportunity to bid on artwork donated by renowned galleries, such as K. Nathan Gallery in La Jolla.

Going Green Live Auction
This year’s Live Auction, which begins at 8:00 pm, will be conducted by Charles S. Dreyer, who has bee auctioneer at more than 1,500 special events and helped raise tens of millions of dollars for nonprofit organizations. The focus of the Going Green Live Auction is on eco-friendly items and outdoor experiences, including a gourmet sustainable meal by local top chefs, an underwater adventure, a trip to Hawaii, a San Diego sports package, and much, much more.
